OctPoWriMo 2019: Day 6: Blues for your Eyes

At the End of Everything Version 10
Photoshop Manipulation by The Real Cie

Your changing blue eyes
Hypnotize
I fell into your soul and drowned inside

You'd think I'd realize
No-one will ever hear my cries
I can't escape your frozen eyes

I keep telling myself lies
I keep telling myself that I
Don't still have the blues
For your eyes

    1. Thank you. Nobody could make the guitar cry quite like Gary did. A great talent gone too soon.

    2. You are welcome. Couldn't agree more about Gary. What a loss!

    1. I was primarily thinking of the Gary Moore song when I wrote it, and then the line from the Rainbow song came into my mind as well. It then translated from my brain to the page!

  3. Your poem captures both how we become entranced by those we love -- and perhaps how we perhaps can't see the risks of being 'frozen' in a relationship.

  4. Soulful and lyrical. Made me wish there was more. :)

We love comments, with three caveats.
Be cool, Fool.
Don't be rude, Dude.
Don't be a prick, Slick.
That's all, Saul.
I try to get comments published as quickly as possible. I don't always reply to comments on my blog, but I do try to visit as many people as possible when I participate in blog hops and I share links where possible to Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, and such so others can discover your work. I do read and appreciate your comments.
