After the Fall

Buffalo Center Terminal
On a deadly breeze
Blow the dreams of yesterday
Tomorrow is lost

Notes:
I was looking for inspiration to start a new story. I found these two prompts, and I think I may have my beginning. I guess America is great again--great for inspiring post-Apocalyptic fiction, that is. We are living in the horrible dystopian future.

The Great State

The following poem inspired by the article linked below, which is also the source of this image

On a splendid day
In the nation that was great again
The homeless and jobless milled about hopelessly
As the sun shone sickly through the pollution
The ill and infirm
Curled up in a cozy alley to die
While skinny stray dogs and cats
Chewed on the remains
Of those whose struggling families
Could not afford to bury them
