At the Crack of Dawn

The Crack of Dawn in Holbrook, AZ

At the Crack of Dawn
A Monoverse Variation in 13 Lines

At the crack of dawn
I woke to find you gone
At the crack of dawn
I knew that you'd moved on
At the crack of dawn
I sang a mournful song

At the crack of dawn
You have done me wrong
At the crack of dawn
The day seems unbearably long
At the crack of dawn
I don't know if I can stay strong

At the crack of dawn

Alfred Noyes: The Highwayman

Alfred Noyes stopped by Nervous Norvis' café last night to have a cup of tea and recite his famous poem, The Highwayman for the crowd.
Beavis and Butthead showed their support for Noyes' work. Butthead stated "and then, my friend, you die," followed by Beavis' enthusiastic assertion of "you die!"

Noyes invited the fellows to join him for tea, but Beavis said they'd prefer a Crappuccino. They enjoyed reciting poetry until the next morning when the caffeine finally wore off.

Heart of Night

The night is filled with infinite lies
Most of them told by you
After what you've done, you ignore my cries
You think you're the only one whose feelings matter
You like to pretend you're misconstrued
But because of you, my heart is far sadder
I thought you were my sweetest dream
But this is completely untrue
For you have never been what you seem

Hold On To the Dream

Hold Onto the Dream
by
Illsa

No quarter is given
No means too extreme
When you're trying your damndest
Not to wake from a dream

You cling to the branches
Of the storm-shaken tree
Lest you lose your grip
And fall to reality

The painful realization
When one wakes from sweet scenes
Cause the Quixotic with great zeal
To hold onto their dreams

Falling from great heights
Can cause dire hurt
You plunge from the Heavens
And end up in the dirt

The most beautiful of fantasies
Is the sorriest of vanities
