Yellow House

in a quiet town

a yellow house stood empty

waiting to be filled

notes

This Haiga was inspired by a prompt from Carpe Diem Haiku.

https://chevrefeuillescarpediem.blogspot.com/2012/11/carpe-diem-37-yellow.html

Both the base image and the Haiga are my work. You are welcome to use the photo and/or share the Haiga, but please credit Cara Hartley/Ornery Owl if you do. A link back to this blog would also be appreciated.

My son and I moved into this house in 2019. It had been vacant since 2011. Words cannot describe the derangement of the guy who lived here before us, a lunatic who tore out support walls and tacked on unstable additions that ended up harboring wasps. The addition was removed by a fellow and his daughter who brought their big excavator.

I'm by no means a savvy real estate investor, but even I know that you don't try to fix and flip a house in the middle of nowhere.

We love comments, with three caveats.
Be cool, Fool.
Don't be rude, Dude.
Don't be a prick, Slick.
That's all, Saul.
I try to get comments published as quickly as possible. I don't always reply to comments on my blog, but I do try to visit as many people as possible when I participate in blog hops and I share links where possible to Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, and such so others can discover your work. I do read and appreciate your comments.
