November PAD Challenge 2021: The Accidental Tourist

Buckle up, Soul, and get ready

To careen down to yon planet and inflict your incendiary presence

A rare seed trespassing in plastic lives

Hoping to expand shallow minds with your pluck

Will those you stick to like glue love and embrace you

As you pray their taste for you ripens rich in time

Will you survive your incarnation in this crude habitat?

Or will you collapse and buckle

Under the weight of their hate as they crush you like flowers

Your blood flowing scarlet to the sea in the heat of the sun

How quickly the accidental tourist is forgotten

To those with hearts rotten like compost

Post a Comment

We love comments, with three caveats.
Be cool, Fool.
Don't be rude, Dude.
Don't be a prick, Slick.
That's all, Saul.
I try to get comments published as quickly as possible. I don't always reply to comments on my blog, but I do try to visit as many people as possible when I participate in blog hops and I share links where possible to Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, and such so others can discover your work. I do read and appreciate your comments.
