A stranger in a very strange land
But is the stranger a danger?
Could the stranger be in danger?
Does the stranger bring a plague?
Ebola or COVID or something worse?
From where does the stranger originate?
Good relationships may form if we extend ourselves
Happiness can come from unexpected sources
Innocence is lost when unfortunate risks are taken
Just how do we know if a stranger is innocent?
Killers can have handsome faces
Lovely hearts beat in unbecoming bodies
Maybe we cannot make assumptions based on appearances
Nobody reveals all of themselves all at once
Only those with nothing to hide are open with the truth
Perhaps it is best if some things remain hidden
Quiet in the dark depths of our secret souls
Revealing too much can erode illusions
Sweet dreams fade when punctured by reality's pins
Time will tell if the stranger presents danger
Until then, be polite and pretend
Vainly believe that all is well in the end
Wait and see what waits behind the veil
eXit, eXhale
Your time will come before you are ready
Zipping through the years with the stranger just behind

We love comments, with three caveats.
Be cool, Fool.
Don't be rude, Dude.
Don't be a prick, Slick.
That's all, Saul.
I try to get comments published as quickly as possible. I don't always reply to comments on my blog, but I do try to visit as many people as possible when I participate in blog hops and I share links where possible to Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, and such so others can discover your work. I do read and appreciate your comments.
