when we are obsessed
demanding knowledge of all
we lose the beauty
the hoarfrost in its glory
does not need explanation

  1. Well, SOMEBODY (that is to say, me) does not know how to follow instructions. The instructions were to write a Troiku. I wrote a Tanka. I would beat my head against the wall as punishment, but it would do no good.
    I wish my brain worked.
That being said, it's apparent that I don't have dementia despite being a blithering idiot. I had to go for a psychological exam to attempt to qualify for disability. My memory is okay. This doesn't mean I have any sense or the ability to process instructions properly.

  2. You weren't the only one, Cara - don't beat yourself up about it. I enjoyed your tanka.

  3. I think there is some magic in science and visa versa.
I've been watching a bunch of Utube repeats of Penn and Teller's "Fool Us"...

Weather remains one of those wonderful mysteries that is hard to predict and if we accept it as is we can enjoy it. Though few do.

We love comments, with three caveats.
Be cool, Fool.
Don't be rude, Dude.
Don't be a prick, Slick.
That's all, Saul.
I try to get comments published as quickly as possible. I don't always reply to comments on my blog, but I do try to visit as many people as possible when I participate in blog hops and I share links where possible to Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, and such so others can discover your work. I do read and appreciate your comments.
