OctPoWriMo 2015: Day 29: The Ending Does Not Fit

The end of some lives
Seems gravely out of balance
 Not at all deserved

Notes:
This 5-7-5 poem is a collaboration between Cie and Misty.
You can stop here and just appreciate the poem as is, or you can read about our motivation.

When there are diseases that do this:

Turning a highly intelligent, very aware and introspective individual

Into a terrified, bewildered shadow of themselves

Then some fate or power needs a can of this opened on it.

In the meantime, the rest of us need to support research into outfoxing these malevolent mind stealing diseases.
When are we going to stop talking about it?
Not till a cure is found!

~Cie and Misty~

For this guy, and everyone like him whose mind has been stolen by dementia

OctPoWriMo 2015: Day 10: Blood Lust

Damon and Stefan Salvatore

I'm warning you up front that this is Misty going fangirl.
If you find that puerile or beneath you somehow, turn back now

Blood Lust

Blood rushes through my veins
In a way previously unknown
I feel uninhibited

Screen capture

A dangerous lust for blood
Causes my untamed heart to hammer in my chest
As I dance into the fire

Image from fanpop

I smell the living warmth on which I yearn to feed
I do not seek to justify what I have become
I only seek to quell my insatiable need

Screen capture

I am vampire
I am intensity personified
I am life within death

~Misty~

Notes:
I was hooked on the Vampire Diaries from the start. I love the dynamics between the characters, particularly between the vampire brothers Damon and Stefan Salvatore.
Damon and Stefan are actually very civilized vampires. They do a commendable job of controlling the need to feed. Nonetheless that blood lust is always just beneath the surface of their genteel presentation.
In any case, it wouldn't be Halloween Month, AKA October, without a vampire or two!
