Braggart in Chief (Choka)

Image copyright F. Muhammad

lost in bravado

forget employing reason

boasting fortitude

be independent

of the need for bravado

absolute freedom

boasting fortitude

bravado is not real strength

time of reckoning

compassionate mind

to be flexible is peace

forget bravado

now the notes

I combined today's prompts, did not follow either of them to the letter, and wound up with this choka/senryu. I am so done with the Braggart in Chief who is running my country (into the ground). I can only hope that the majority of voters are done with him too, and the majority of people will turn out to vote. We cannot endure four more years of disdain and deceit from this inept criminal.

  4. Time of reckoning indeed! I love your format. Maybe I will try it some day.

  5. I'm still shocked by the (repeated) statement that he might not give up power if he loses the elections. As if sexual assault, wasting money, bragging, calling people names, lying about lots of things, undermining the media, and more of that weren't enough.

  6. I read that many people are voting in advance to make sure their votes can't be tampered with. I have fingers and toes (and eyes) crossed that the Braggart in Chief is booted out and locked up for tax evasion and assaults on women. I can't believe Covid didn't finish him off. He must be made of Teflon - he can't have been born.

  7. I try not to get political in my writing, but I have had to take a stand and speak out against the idiot in chief..

We love comments, with three caveats.
Be cool, Fool.
Don't be rude, Dude.
Don't be a prick, Slick.
That's all, Saul.
I try to get comments published as quickly as possible. I don't always reply to comments on my blog, but I do try to visit as many people as possible when I participate in blog hops and I share links where possible to Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, and such so others can discover your work. I do read and appreciate your comments.
