Armageddon Gospels

Blurb
Refugee gods, transposed to flesh and blood, wash ashore to rouse the myths of ancient England, half-drowned in a forgotten past. They disperse through shifting realities to awaken the giant Albion and find the holy grail in a ritual to save England from the rot of darkness and hatred strangling its soul.

Ornery Owl's Thoughts
This film is classified as horror, but I didn't see it as horrific or shocking. It is a retelling of Pagan myths set in modern times. I saw the deities made flesh and their behaviors as similar to Jungian archetypes, the unconscious mind expressing itself through these stories. Civilized people are taught to keep their fears hidden. A deity is not constrained by mortal rules.

I recommend this movie to viewers who are interested in mythology and psychology. Viewers looking for a thriller are likely to find this film's pace too slow.

We love comments, with three caveats.
Be cool, Fool.
Don't be rude, Dude.
Don't be a prick, Slick.
That's all, Saul.
I try to get comments published as quickly as possible. I don't always reply to comments on my blog, but I do try to visit as many people as possible when I participate in blog hops and I share links where possible to Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, and such so others can discover your work. I do read and appreciate your comments.
